Alfa Romeo 147 Engine
New Alfa 147 with new petrol & diesel engines is ideal for car for those who are looking for the pleasure of driving. Its engines choice is very rich, it has two 1.6 & the 2.0 petrol engines with variable geometry. They deliver torque values maximum at only 2000 rpm.
2.0 Twin Spark 16v (1970,150 BHP-EEC, 208 km/hr).
The 150 BHP 2.0 engine is fitted with a variable geometry intake system, giving more gradual and smoother power delivery.
It is also available in the version with Selespeed transmission, fitted with robotic gear shift and clutch control.
This engine conforms to Euro 3 standards.
1.6 Twin Spark 16v (1598 cc, 105 BHP-EEC, 185 km/hr)
Twin Spark technology ensures tremendous reserves of power and considerable elasticity even at low speeds.
The 1.6 petrol engine has near-maximum torque values available at 2000 rpm. The engine weight has been reduced by 4 Kg, meaning savings on fuel consumption and, confirming Alfa Romeo’s concern for the environment, reduced gaseous and noise emissions.
This engine conforms to Euro 3 standards.
1.6 Twin Spark 16v (1598 cc, 120 BHP-EEC, 195 km/hr)
Another Twin Spark engine providing top-of-the-range performance with all the characteristics of bigger sports engines.
Its 120 BHP can deliver a top speed of 195 km/hr and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hr in 10.6 seconds.
This engine conforms to Euro 3 standards.
1.9 JTD (1910 cc, 100 BHP-EEC, 183 km/hr)
A JTD Common Rail engine offering all the enjoyment of exciting performance combined with low fuel consumption.
The 100 BHP 1.9 JTD can reach a top speed of 183 km/hr with a fuel consumption, in the combined cycle, that does not exceed 5.8 l/100 km.
1.9 JTD (1910 cc, 115 BHP-EEC, 191 km/hr)
Alfa Romeo was the first manufacturer to mount JTD "Common Rail" direct injection turbodiesel engines, creating a new generation of fast, sophisticated diesels.
Today the 1.9 JTD is even more powerful - 85 kW (115 BHP) at 4000 rpm – and has torque values that are the envy of more powerful petrol engines - 275 Nm (28 kgm) at 2000 rpm.
Fitted with this engine, the 147 can reach a top speed of 191 km/hr and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 9.9 seconds. Diesel consumption is also reduced: the combined cycle value is only 5.8 l/100 km, but it also consumes little with a sportier drive.
1.9 JTD M-Jet (1910 cc, 150 BHP-EEC, 208 Km/hr)
Engine excellence finds confirmation in the diesels powering this model: the 100 HP and 115 HP 1.9 JTD’s, with electronically managed Common Rail direct injection, boosted by means of a Garret supercharger.
These are flanked by the new 150 HP 1.9 JTD, the first 16-valve JTD with Multijet injection system, offering a range of advantages, from more muted running to more power (110 kW at 4000 rpm), from low fuel consumption to reduced emission levels.
In the new 150 HP 1.9 JTD, 90% of peak torque becomes available between 1750 and 3250 rpm, for a prompt response in any situation.
